Fatima Ahmed

Fatima is a 47-year-old mother of five children. For over eight years, she suffered from a severe uterine fibroid condition that caused chronic pain, heavy bleeding, and debilitating fatigue. Her condition made it impossible for her to work or care for her family properly.

The Struggle:

Fatima needed a hysterectomy—a life-changing surgery—but the cost was $1,500. For a family living on less than $5 per day, this was an impossible sum. She visited multiple clinics, but each one gave her the same answer: "We cannot help you without payment."

Our Intervention:

Through our Community Health Outreach Initiative, Fatima was identified and referred to a partner hospital. Our Emergency Medical Fund covered:

Full surgical procedure

Hospital stay and post-operative care

Follow-up consultations

Nutritional support during recovery

Progress:

Successfully underwent surgery in March 2025

Fully recovered and pain-free

Returned to her small vegetable-selling business

Her children are back in school and thriving

"I thought I was going to die. I had accepted my fate. But you gave me back my life. Now I can watch my children grow up. Thank you will never be enough."
